Based in the heart of London, OnTheSly is a full services production house offering up everything from sound design and radio imaging, to fully produced music beds and audio editing. After successful launches at 104-3 MYfm in LA, MYfm in Chicago, and across Australia on the Nova, OnTheSly is offering up a new services called “INTROS”. It’s a fresh new take on jingles. The station logo is sung in the melody of a hit song’s hook, then fully integrated over the intro of the song. It keep the music flowing without interuptions, and STILL gives a station a chance to brand itself. Seamless, flawless. To help launch the services to the world, Dave and Ali from OnTheSly selected BellboyAudio to serve at the lead male VO talent in the main demo shipped out to the radio industry through out the world.
One of the most successful, historic CHR’s in the country recently invited me to voice their imaging and help vocally re-brand the station. It was a huge honor and I’m really excited to share with you the new sound of FLY 92.3.
Stream the station now and give it a listen. Ally and her team did an amazing job with the production. Top notch work!
So you’re a imaging director with a “to do” list a million lines long. So here’s a file for you to grab voice work for the numbers 50 to 1 for any and all countdown show needs. They are already compressed, tweaked with a slight reverb, and already dialed in to hit the air.
I heard Jim Cutler in a really good interview once talk about voice over auditions. He spoke about the “grind” in it. You inevitably have to go through dozens, if not hundreds of auditions, only landing a small percentage of the gigs you ever audition for.
A while back, I received a call to do a secret audition for a new project that was about to launch for the “Nick and Artie Show” featuring Nick DiPaolo and Artie Lange.
I’m a huge fan of the M-Audio line of monitors, this makes my third pair! With multipe studios, I’ve set up a pair in each. Would I love to have some amazing high end Genelec’s or Yahmaha’s, but come on…found these new generation of Bx5a’s for 200 brand new. Can’t beat it! Leaves me more cash to buy more gear!
